|That’s right. Only 5 more days until Saturday’s Act on Climate in Quebec City! This email has some important logistical info you will need about an action packed and hopefully historic weekend.
Still some seats on buses!
There are almost 100 buses heading to Quebec, with many from English Canada. We still have some subsidies so there is still time to get yourself on a bus and not miss out!
You can visit the transportation page to sign up, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions.
We have two great & cheap places to stay in Quebec, though organizers are needing a few dozen more confirmations to secure the second location. Visit the housing page for more.
A weekend of impact, dancing, and movement building
Act on Climate isn’t only poised to be Canada’s biggest climate rally, it’s also going to be an action-packed weekend of fun and important events.
After the march you won’t want to miss “Le Climat Show“, a variety show on Saturday night with artists from across Quebec and Canada. And on Sunday there is a Climate Forum where leaders from environmental groups, First Nations, and unions will discuss climate solutions from now until the Paris UN talks this winter.
You won’t want to miss out!
Tell us your story
The Premier’s climate summit and our response to it is already getting lots of media coverage, including in the Globe and Mail, Bloomberg News, and with multiple stories inside Quebec.
The media loves stories about regular people taking action. Do you want to share your story about why you are coming? Especially if this is your first march?
Please email email@example.com with a few words about why you are heading down to the march, and we’ll be in touch.
Can’t make it to Quebec? Here’s how to help
We know Quebec City is far for many Canadians, so that’s why we created the “Act on Climate Selfie” campaign. Already hundreds of beautiful and powerful photos have come in from people all across the country!
It’s really easy to participate: simply take a selfie photo with our “no pipelines” icon on your hand, upload it to Facebook or twitter, and tag your premier. We have a list of all premiers here: http://act-on-climate.ca/takeaction/
The more of these selfies are posted, the harder it will be for our premiers to ignore us. You can make sure your premier is feeling the pressure to act.
If you live in Toronto, Vancouver, Peterborough, St. John, Halifax, Prince Rupert, Victoria, Kitimat, Edmonton, Calgary, or Maine, there is a volunteer-organized Act on Climate rally near you! We have a list that continues to grow at the bottom of ourDetails page.
Just a few days now. Onward!
